Border bearded irises (abbreviation: BB) stand from 41 cm (16 inches) to 70 cm (27 1/2 inches) high, and are essentially small versions of the tall bearded ones in the same height range and bloom size as the intermediate bearded ones, but they bloom with the tall bearded irises.
